ECO4 is a government scheme that runs until March 2026. It allows people on certain benefits to upgrade their heating or insulation to make it more energy efficient, saving them money and reducing the risk of fuel poverty. It is very important that you know if you qualify, and how to apply for an ECO4 grant if you do.
The ECO4 scheme is completely free of charge to those householders who are eligible.
The energy companies underwrite all the costs and installation does not cost the householder a penny.
Check if you qualify
In most cases, you need to be on benefits to qualify for an ECO4 grant. These benefits include universal credit, housing benefits, pension credit, income-based jobseekers allowance, ESA, income support and tax credits.
Some people on low incomes can also qualify for an ECO4 grant even if they aren’t on benefits through the LA Flex scheme. This is aimed at households with a household income of £31,000 or lower.
You also need to own the property that is being upgraded, or get the permission of the landlord if you are renting your home.
What happens next?
If the completed form clearly indicates that you qualify for an ECO4 grant, you will be contacted by a specialist at EnergyHelp who will arrange for a registered installer to assess your home, and recommend what upgrades would save you the most money on your energy bills. After this, the installation itself is scheduled and implemented.
EnergyHelp will help you through every step of the way, providing support even after the installation is complete, ensuring everything works effectively and offering advice when needed.
Do you qualify?
Please complete the form today to check if you qualify for the ECO4 scheme.
If you do, you will be entitled to a personal consultation to determine which ECO4 upgrades are best for you.
